Imported From Detroit Around The Globe To...
We, Imauni (my 16 year old granddaughter) and I Just completed 11 days on a "Mediterranean Cruise" sailing on the MSC-Poesia, an Italian cruise line embarked in Genoa, Italy. The land excursions included: (1) Rome, Italy (I hired a private driver to take us to all the major landmarks in Rome as you will see on the slideshow, (2) Olympic, Greece (original place of the Olympic games) & the ancient ruins of Zeus, (3)Bethlehem & Jerusalem, Israel, (4) Civitavecchia, Italy, , (5) Milan, Italy, (6) Limmosol, Cyprus (a small Greek isle, near Turkey), (7) Alexandria & Cairo, Egypt ( pyramids of Giza, The Sphinx, camel ride in the Sahara desert, and wild jeep rides over huge sand dunes in the Sahara). This was my second trip to both Egypt and Greece.
The photo slideshow hopefully, will provide the viewer with insight into how much we enjoyed the ship which was grand and huge carrying around 2, 500 vacationing souls. Sailing from port to port was smooth and uneventful. The food was often bland, but plentiful, entertainment was Broadway style. My fav was the Ethiopian acrobatics (young men and young lady) balancing on a flexible bamboo pole into the air, landing, and flipping with precision!.
